This page is currently failing to open
On the current release, opening Email Template shows "An error occurred. Please reload the page" instead of the template list, so it cannot be documented with a screenshot yet. Nothing else is affected: the workspace still sends its e-mails using the templates already stored — you simply cannot view or edit them from this screen until the fix ships.
What the page holds
The templates are grouped by category, and each has:
| Part | What it is |
|---|---|
| Name | Which e-mail it is — invitation, password reset, and so on |
| Subject | The subject line, with placeholders |
| Body | The HTML content, with the same placeholders |
| Variables | The values you can insert — recipient name, workspace name, links, dates |
| Test send | Sends the template to an address with sample data, so you can see how it looks in a real client |
How to…
Change an e-mail's wording (when the page is available)
- Open the category, then the template.
- Edit the subject and body, keeping the placeholders intact — deleting one is how a colleague ends up with an e-mail that says "Hello , click here".
- Use the test send to a real mailbox and read it on a phone as well as a laptop.
- Save.
Keep the tone consistent
Invitations and password resets are often somebody's first contact with your company. Match the wording to the way you speak to customers elsewhere.
Notes
- Sending requires the workspace's mail settings to be configured; a template alone does not guarantee delivery. Check Notification history if an e-mail did not arrive.
- Templates are workspace-wide — a change affects every recipient from that moment.
